* Avoid tea, coffee and alcohol If you find that the symptoms persist after trying these measures, there is a completely natural treatment which you can use in combination with the home remedies for a uti as described above.
* Mild fever * An urgent need to urinate even if the volume is low However, if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, do not try any home remedies, but head of to your doctors for advice as you could be at risk of permanent kidney damage.
* Only wear cotton panties as synthetic fabrics can help create the ideal conditions in which bacteria can flourish * Take a mild painkiller * It is generally advisable to take showers rather than baths, but a few minutes in clean, warm bathwater, with no added perfumed products can be very soothing (you should avoid the use of all perfumed products around the vaginal area) Just as a book shouldn't be judged by its cover, we wish you read this entire article on urinary tract infection treatments before actually making a judgement about urinary tract infection treatments.

I'm peeing I swear every 20 minutes! Its super annoying! I'm sure I have one because I had to hold going to the bathroom for awhile a couple times at work recently. Any advice would be great! Thanks :)

Peeing often isnt really a sign of a uti. If it burns and stings or is just very painful when you pee though, that could mean you have one. Peeing often could be a sign of other problems though, so if it doesn't go away, see your doctor

I know this sounds counterproductive, but drink lots of water. Maybe like 24-30 ounces over maybe two hours. This will make you urinate a lot, but somehow it also seems to get the kidneys back in gear to urinate regularly instead of every few minutes. At least that is what happens to me. Should work for you too.

Had your blood sugar tested lately? Fasting glucose and/or A1C might reveal diabetic issues. Or, could be bladder or kidney distress as well.

Frequency is not necessarily indicative of a UTI, especially if there's no pain associated with it. See a doctor for a urine test. If you have a UTI, they'll prescribe an antibiotic that will sort you out quickly. There's no home remedy or OTC medication that will cure a UTI.

Alka-seltzer will help a uti if you catch it early
As mentioned above=== frequent urination is not necessarily
an indication of uti--

urinary tract infection is the result of bacteria contaminating the urethra, the tube that drains urine from the bladder to the outside of the body. The most common bacteria, E. coli, comes from the digestive system, and sexually transmitted bacteria, such as Chlamydia trachomatis, can also cause UTI symptoms. The UTI can be limited to the urethra, in which case it is called urethritis, but the bladder and kidneys can become infected, as well. Cystitis is a bladder infection, and pyelonephritis occurs when the infection spreads to the kidneys. Pyelonephritis, in particular, is a serious infection. If it's left untreated or if the patient is infected repeatedly, pyelonephritis can damage the kidneys.

Most people who try urinary remedies are patients who found very little success with antibiotics. Unfortunately, most people who suffer from a U.T.I. will try to treat their infection with doctor-prescribed medication. Though antibiotics have their purpose (they have saved millions of lives), antibiotics can do more harm than good when it comes to urinary tract infections.
